Who Should Attend & What You'll Learn
This course is suitable for employees whose work could potentially expose them to asbestos fibres, including demolition workers, electricians, plumbers, builders, engineers, lift engineers, maintenance personnel, refurbishment trades, and other professionals whThe Control of Asbestos Regulations requires mandatory Asbestos Awareness Training for anyone liable to be exposed to asbestos fibres at work, and for those that supervise workers – this includes maintenance workers and others who may come into contact with, or who may disturb asbestos, as well as those involved in asbestos removal work.
Who Should Attend This Course?
Asbestos Awareness Training should be given to all employees whose work could potentially expose them to asbestos. In particular, it should be given to all demolition workers and those workers in the refurbishment and allied trades where it is foreseeable that their work will disturb the fabric of the building – such as electricians, plumbers, builders, engineers, lift engineers, CDM co-ordinators etc.
Asbestos Consultants offer Asbestos Awareness Training places to senior personnel, along side their employees, as we strongly believe these individuals should undergo the training as they are mostly responsible for sending their staff out to various sites and contracts.
Course Content
Our Asbestos Awareness Training Course satisfies H&S requirements and provides your employees with an understanding and appreciation of the legal and practical requirements to protect themselves from the risks associated with asbestos. Upon completion of the course you are awarded an Asbestos Awareness Training certificate.o may disturb the fabric of a building during their work.
We also encourage managers, supervisors, and senior personnel to attend alongside their teams, as they play a key role in planning work and ensuring staff operate safely on site.
The course covers the legal responsibilities surrounding asbestos, how to recognise potential asbestos-containing materials, the health risks associated with exposure, and the practical steps required to minimise those risks. Upon successful completion, participants receive an Asbestos Awareness Training Certificate, demonstrating their understanding of asbestos safety and workplace responsibilities.
